Avengers Felt Trick-or-Treat Bag

Avengers Assemble! MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron just released on Blu-Ray DVD last Friday and it couldn’t be better timing.  With Halloween just around the corner I know there will be a few little superheroes running around.  We grabbed up our collectors edition Blu-Ray DVD at Walmart along with supplies for the perfect watch party. A movie night wouldn’t be complete in our house without a little cosplay.  We even picked up a costume for each boy at a great price!

My little one couldn’t wait to get in on the action too. He was so excited to finally have a costume that fit just right.  There’s truly costumes available from toddler to adult in a variety of Avengers characters.

My boys loved how their Avengers logo felt bags turned out.  The absolute perfect addition to an Avengers Halloween watch party, stuffed full of goodies and snacks for enjoying the film.  All you need is a little felt, glue, and some sewing skills to put it together.

Supplies:
3 red felt sheets
1 black felt sheet
hot glue
Avengers logo printout

Instructions:
Print logo, cut. Trace logo onto a piece of red felt with chalk, cut and set aside.

Hot glue the A logo onto the black sheet of felt.

Using the scrap from the logo cut one 2″ piece of felt the width of the sheet.  With another piece of red felt cut two 2″ pieces the length of the felt. Cut two 3/4″ wide by 6″ long strips for the handle.

Sew a handle onto one red sheet and one black sheet of felt about 4″ apart.

Sew the three 2″ strips of red felt onto the edge of the black felt.  The short piece will go opposite of the handle.  The remaining long strips will go on the side edges.

Fold the side pieces towards the logo.  Sew the two pieces together creating a corner.  Repeat with the other corner.

Sew the remaining red sheet of felt onto the rest of the bag.  Flip right side and push the corners out.

All that’s left to do is fill up your bag with movie treats, pull up in front of the screen, don your favorite costume, and enjoy the movie.  When the night is over the felt logo bag becomes a durable trick-or-treat sack.
