Meatball Sliders

Are you ready for a delicious recipe great for weeknight meals or a party appetizer? These meatball sliders are easy and full of so much flavor.  Pair with microwave potato chips for the perfect dinner.  They’re sure to be a crowd pleaser served up at your next homegating party or family dinner!

They might look messy, but their smaller size and my secret tip cut down on the spillage.  You won’t be losing any meatballs with these sliders.  We batch make our favorite ricotta meatballs ahead of time to use in soups, pasta, and meals throughout the month.  It cuts down on time and makes assembling some of our favorite meals as easy as defrosting and baking.  These sliders take about 20 minutes from assembly to table.

Great weeknight meal or party appetizer.

Ingredients
  • 8 mini-hamburger buns
  • 16 meatballs
  • 1 c. pizza sauce
  • ½ c. mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tbsp. parmesan
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning (garlic, parsley, onion powder)
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Prep your meatballs by cutting them in half.
  3. Slice the hamburger buns in half. Place the bottom sheet of buns in a foil lined baking dish. Set aside the top buns.
  4. Place 4 meatball halves onto each bun.
  5. Top with 1-2 tbsp. of pizza sauce.
  6. Place one pinch (`1 tbsp.) of mozzarella on top.
  7. Put the top sheet of buns on top.
  8. Melt the butter. Add parmesan and Italian seasonings, mix. Brush the tops with the meted butter and herbs.
  9. Place sliders in oven 8-10 minutes until tops are golden brown.
Notes
Use store bought or homemade frozen meatballs to cut down on prep time.
