DIY Scribble T-Shirts | Kid Craft

In need of a custom shirt last minute?  These DIY scribble t-shirts were pulled together in under 30 minutes, with 3 supplies, and the help of 2 very crafty young men.

There is no waiting for paint to dry, no sewing, just some fabric markers and an iron to set. It’s the perfect craft for the kids to help with and easy to pull together last minute.

Last year my oldest need a shirt quick, next morning quick.  It was favorite letter and number day in Kindergarten and he decided he had to create his own shirt.  This is the result of a patient 6 year old, and of course little brother (3) had to scribble his own shirt too.

Supplies:
t-shirt
fabric markers
painters tape
iron

Directions:

1. Using painters tape outline your shape.
2. Let the kids scribble or make a design with fabric markers inside the taped section.
3. Remove painters tape.
4. Set the design according to your fabric marker’s directions. Mine called for an iron or quick toss in the dryer.

Need something more complex than straight lines?  Try the freezer paper stencil method, but substitute the paint out for fabric markers.
