DIY One Sheet Table Fort

Who loves building forts with their family?  My husband and I take every opportunity to be a kid again, to share our favorite pastimes from when we were little.  Yesterday after a long day of hikes, picnics, and the park we were ready to have a quiet evening in at home.  While the youngest was napping I setup a quiet nook for my oldest.

He had a blast in his little hideout under the kitchen table.  With just a fitted sheet and a couple clothespins he had the perfect sized fort and relaxing reading nook.  It’s the perfect way to let his imagination soar while giving his body a rest too.

Materials:
fitted sheet
clothespins

Directions:
Take a queen or king sized sheet and lay it over your tabletop.  

Lift each leg and tuck each of the fitted corners under.  The fitted sides keep the tent in place and create a non-destructible tent.  

Take a few clothespins and pin back the sheet at the front of the fort to create an opening.  

To complete your perfect fort add a couple of pillows, a lantern, a fun flashlight book and a big bowl of Pop Secret popcorn. 

Once brother woke up we moved the tent party to the hallway.  A curtain rod and a sheet/blanket made for an easy a-frame pup tent.
