The Walt Disney Studios unveiled their cloud-based digital movie service yesterday. Since 2008 Disney has been including codes for digital copies in select DVD and Blu-ray releases. This new FREE app available on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch will make it easier to discover, purchase, manage, and watch movies from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel at home and on the go. iTunes will be the premier digital movie provider for Disney Movies Anywhere. With also the avialbilty to stream movies from your computer through the Disney Movies Anywhere website.
So what happens to all your old Digital Copy titles? Don’t fret once you connect your iTunes account and Disney Movie Rewards all those previously redeemed titles will be active in both Disney Movies Anywhere and iTunes. And now you’ll earn Disney Movie Rewards points for your digital purchases through the app.
