It’s hard to believe it has been almost 2 years since the release of FROZEN with much of the country still down with a case of FROZEN fever.  It’s no surprise then, Disney’s favorite sisters are finding there way onto so many different products.

Our house in fact is still a little FROZEN obsessed.  We’ve managed to collect quite a few of the toys and the film still makes it’s way into family movie night often. AND just this past spring the whole family was a tad bit excited to take part in a FROZEN sing-along on our trip to Disney World.  Imagine the four of us belting out “Let it Go” and “In Summer”, one of our favorites!

So, when I spotted Disney FROZEN grapes in the produce aisle I knew they would make the perfect addition to a fun school lunch.  Who wouldn’t be excited to see some of their favorite characters in the produce aisle?

This isn’t the first time FROZEN has made it’s way into my son’s lunch box.  In fact the most huggable snowman has been the subject of a themed school lunch before.  Lunches are definitely not fancy everyday, but every once in a while I like to surprise him with something out of the ordinary.  A special treat or even better a lunch with his favorite cast of characters from Arendale.

Yogurt parfaits are a popular choice amongst my boys; it’s usually the breakfast of choice.  I knew he’d be excited to find one of his favorites packed for lunch.  With Vanilla greek yogurt as base, we had the perfect melted Olaf parfait.

Assembling a FROZEN school lunch or special snack/fun breakfast is super simple.

  1. Push FROZEN grapes onto plastic skewer or straw.
  2. Fill a bowl with your child’s favorite vanilla or plain yogurt.
  3. Place 3 mini-chocolate chips, orange tipped candy corn, candy eyes, and chocolate arms or pretzel sticks in the yogurt.
  4. Fill a container with granola.  Bonus points if it’s chocolate!

*For chocolate arms: melt a couple tablespoons of chocolate chips in the microwave.  Using a toothpick or piping bag (plastic bag) draw out Olaf’s arms.  Place in the freezer until ready to serve/pack.

We LOVE Disney! It’s great to see some friendly faces in the produce aisle, especially for picky eaters.  Which fruit or veggie would you like to see some friendly faces on next?
