Christmas seems to come earlier every year in this house. Perhaps it’s having kiddos and want to treasure the holiday season longer. Either way Christmas crafting is in full swing in our house. We throw a couple Thanksgiving crafts to balance the scale too. These chalkboard ornaments are so simple and the perfect gift to whip up for an ornament exchange. Last year we handed these out at Thanksgiving to all our family.
Supplies:
Wood Shapes
Ribbon
Chalkboard Paint
Hot Glue
Buttons
Paint both sides of your wood shape with chalkboard paint. We went traditional black board, but you could definitely use your favorite chalkboard shade. Let dry, then hot glue a loop of ribbon for hanging. Finish with embellishments like buttons and bows.
Use your Joann’s friends and family 25% off coupon this weekend and stock up on pre-cut wood shapes and ribbon. Made for just around $.30. Pair it with some chalk and bundle in a cellophane bag for a nice handmade gift.
