I’m almost to the half-way point. Only 2 more weeks to go and we get to find out if we are having another little man or a little lady. I’ve found myself comparing the 2 pregnancies lately. Although I was sick for the first two months this time around I know I am healthier. I started out the last one at about the same weight, but I wasn’t too active. I’ve struggled lately, after my two month sickness, to get back into activity.
The household has been a bit disarrayed this year, and that’s added some stress. JD is now finished with his thesis so after a some rest I will have back my partner in cooking, cleaning, and exercise. We haven’t had much family or couple time lately and it’s made it hard to get motivated to get out and move.
I’m looking forward to the end of the past two years and moving on to the next chapter in our life. I can’t wait to finally have a normal schedule and get to spend time together as a family rather than two single parent units. We have tried to institute Saturday family day and Sunday breakfasts, but that leaves 5+ days where we aren’t together. I miss that.
The warmer weather means it will be summer too and I can’t wait to get out and enjoy it. It will soon be scorching, which means pool time. We’ve been taking Aiden lately and he loves the water and has a little too much confidence for a 2 1/2 year old.
How does your family spend time each week together? Game Night? Breakfast? Day Trips?
