Fair warning don’t go to this movie hungry.  The Hundred Foot Journey is a appealing to the senses and soul.  A beautiful story about bridging cultural gaps through the universal love of food.  Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren and the cast of new faces shine.

In DreamWorks Pictures’ “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” the opening of a new Indian restaurant in the south of France next to a famous Michelin-starred eatery is nearly cause for a heated battle between the two establishments, until Le Saule Pleureur’s icy proprietress, Madame Mallory, recognizes her rival’s undeniable brilliance for preparing masterful meals.

Bring the kleenex!  You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and your mouth will water as you go on a journey with the Kadam family and Madame Mallory.  The movie transports you to a small village in the south of France.  The simple act of visiting the market sets a visually  charming scene.  

The battle rages between the Kaddam family patriarch and the stern Madame Mallory.  It’s through food and new bonds of the rival restaurants that heal.  It’s a beautiful love story of food and family.  Perfect for a date or girls night out.
