Glittery Halloween Banner

Halloween is rapidly approaching, and as I’ve shared before it is a huge hit in our house. Every year we seem to add more and more to our Halloween decor. I’m always afraid I’ll run out of time to create everything, but with the help of Scotch® Brand products I’m marking the last few pieces off my crafting to do list. This season I decided to glam up our mantle a little bit with glittery pumpkins and Halloween banner.

Follow along as I show you how to easily turn craft paper and foam pumpkins into something spooktacular!

I picked up all my crafting supplies at Walmart including all the Scotch® Brand items right on the paper crafting aisle. They have a good selection of Scotch® Expressions Tapes and Scotch® Create Adhesives for all your crafting needs.

Supplies:
cardstock
Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape

Multi, Green, Orange, Purple, and Platinum

Scotch® Create Multipurpose Glue
googly eyes
glittery ribbon

Directions:

Cut cardstock into triangles. I used a mixture of pre-cut craft paper banners and black cardstock. The pre-cut banners were perfect as a template for the black cardstock.

Alternate placing strips of Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape onto the banner in varying thicknesses. My favorite trick is lining up the tape onto a piece of wax paper. It makes it easier to cut and it lifts right off. Tuck the edges and adhere to the back of the banner. Or alternately you could use a utility knife to trim the excess.

Using a hole puncher, remove the catch tray first, cut holes from the Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape. Use different size hole punches for a fun polka dot look.

For the last look place a small dot of Scotch® Create Multipurpose Glue onto the back of a googly eye. Stick googly eyes of varying size onto the black banners. For a fun look cover the banner in tape first then glue the googly eyes on.

Hole punch 2 small holes in the corner of each banner. String your glittery ribbon through the front and out the back and back in. This way the string doesn’t cover up your banner.
