The tree is down, the trimmings are packed, the smell of molasses no longer lingers, but dad will be enjoying the benefits of his new Smartphone and Walmart Family Mobile cheap wireless plan for the next 3 months. We brought dad into the 21st century with an unlimited plan with talk, text, and web. It was a long overdue purchase, and the perfect gift for the holidays.
I kept this secret for almost a month. The Concord Smartphone had been purchased, the SIM card ready to be activated, and a trap ready to be set. My husband misplaces his phone quite easily. This was the perfect in for us to bate dad and surprise him with his best wireless plan. Prior to Christmas Aiden helped me set up the trap. A “lost” phone, a Christmas tree, and dad needing to get out the door was the perfect recipe for a successful surprise holiday gift.
