Flip Hybrid Cloth Diaper System {review}

Flip Hybrid Cloth Diaper System {review}

There’s a lot of options out there when choosing a cloth diaper system for your babe.  If you are looking for a trim, easy to use, adjustable cloth diaper checkout the Flip™ hybrid diaper system.  This is one system I was happy to add to my stash.

Cotton Babies, the makers of BumGenius (our go to nighttime diaper) saw the need for an inexpensive hybrid system.  Retailing at just $14.95 for covers or a 3-pack of inserts it’s a great diaper to build your stash.

The waterproof and wipeable cover is compatible with 3 inserts: stay dry, organic, and disposable making it the perfect flexible hybrid system.

For us the stay dry inserts are perfect for the day to day and naps, and they are SO soft.  I was happy to add the disposable inserts to our rotation though.  For those out of town trips where washing is just not possible.  At just $5.95 for a pack of 18 it’s very economical.  I can grab a bunch of covers, remember they are wipeable, and not have to worry about washing while on vacation.  And if one happens to need a little washing they dry very quickly.DSC_0021

With a standard 3 rise fit for babies 8-35 pounds it is a nice trim diaper.  We were sent the hook and loop closure to test out.  While it does provide a nice quick and adjustable fit we haven’t figured out how to prevent the rolling up of the tabs.  There is an included laundry tab to prevent a diaper chain, but we always end up with our taps rolling.  Which makes it very easy for our wiggly 11 month old to get off.  I much prefer the snap closures.  And while it is a two snap system without the hip snaps I like them for quick diaper changes and for other family members.  This is my husbands preferred  diaper.

The leg and back elastic prevents leaks and blow outs.  And it is by far my favorite elastic.  Other diapers seem to cut in and leave red marks.  The Flip™ elastic is soft and almost has a padded quality to it.  My favorite feature is the contoured front and back flaps, keeping the insert in place during diaper changes and when baby is on the move.

Disclosure: I was sent the diaper system for the purpose of review.  All opinions are my own.
