5 Energy Boosting Tips

03/22/2016

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/MARS.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s midday and your head starts to hang low.  Your eyes are drooping and you swear you just read that same sentence ten times.  There’s nothing quite like that midday slump to really put a damper on productivity, but don’t fret I’ve got 5 energy boosting tips to help you make it to the end of the day.

When hunger strikes, enjoy a @SNICKERS Crisper!
Stretch–  This is something I need to remember too.  It is in fact a strategy I used to employ with my students, especially on marathon test days.  Stretching isn’t just a pre-workout activity and can actually help you relax and restore energy.  It’s as easy as doing a few seated stretches, no need to roll out the yoga mat.

Stay Hydrated– Drinking enough water has been directly correlated to energy.  Stay hydrated and stave of fatigue.

Get Some Fresh Air–  Taking a walk would definitely take care of it, but it is also as simple as opening a window or door.  We need oxygen to survivie, right? But it’s so much more than that.  Oxygen can increase energy and provide clarity.  Give it a try, feed your brain some fresh oxygen.

Sleep–  Of course everything begins with sleep.  Most people don’t have the luxury of taking mid-day naps.  Start with at least 7 hours of sleep and go from there.  Make a pact to turn off the TV, close the laptop, and put down the book to get a full nights sleep.  While you’re at it move the charging station to another room.  You’re less likely to check your phone last time before turning in if it’s not at bedside.

Snack Time- Avoid hanger (hunger+angry) with a little pick me up.  Providing your body with much needed energy should put the productivity train right back on track.  And nothing satisfies like a SNICKERS.  The newest in the delicious lineup is SNICKERS Crisper; a caramely, crispy cousin of your favorite bar.  A delicious combo of crisped rice and peanuts topped with a layer of caramel and coated in creamy milk chocolate.

When hunger strikes, enjoy a @SNICKERS Crisper!
Hunger keeps inventing new problems, so SNICKERS invented the SNICKERS Crisper.  It’s the same SNICKERS you love, with a satisfying crunch!  Available at Walmart stores and online, don’t worry I did some reconnaissance, in single, 4 to GO, or FUN SIZE bags.

When hunger strikes, enjoy a @SNICKERS Crisper!
So the next time you’re looking like this. Open a window, drink a glass of water, and grab a SNICKERS Crisper. At only 100 calories for one square, you’ll be glad you did.
