Feeding 20+ people can be quite the chore especially when half of them are kiddos. This past weekend I accomplished the impossible and kept the kids entertained. With DIGIORNO® #DesignAPizza from Walmart we got in great family time AND fed the masses.
It’s become a tradition around here to have family pizza nights. We get on our aprons and grill up our favorite pie. Pizza is a big hit at parties too, and speaking from experience rolling dough for a large crowd is on my short list of things to never do again. I love that the Design-A-Pizza kits give us the flexibility to create our own quick meal option. With 3 varieties to choose from there is something for every taste: Pepperoni & Sausage with Peppers; Chicken, Green Peppers and Red Onion; Spinach, Tomato and Red Onion with Pepperoni.
The kids took a break from the water blob to help make their own pizza. It was fun to see them work together to create our dinner. There was discussion of where the meat and veggies would be placed. The only direction, use all the ingredients. Some made a design, others created slices of different ingredients, while others sprinkled all the ingredients evenly.
The bigger cousins came over to help too.
Once the pizza chefs were complete with their creations I threw them on the grill. I used the directions from the back of the box to set my grill to the right temperature. Once it preheated to 400 I put the pizzas on. I watched them and turned them a few times to get even grill marks. They took less time to cook than a traditional oven.
