Custom Disney Short Sets and Disney themed crafts roundup
In just a couple days we’ll be headed to Disney World for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration.  Just last year around this time we were home reflecting on one of the most magical family vacations.

I had already started packing and creating for this year’s conference, when I realized I hadn’t shared last year’s customs ensembles. While the boys are still young I love coordinating them.  They think it’s so much fun, but it also makes it easy to keep track of them in crowds.

For the first set we went with Toy Story.  Each boy had their own custom shirt and short set with adorable Buzz and Woody fabric accents.

Custom Disney Short Sets and Disney themed crafts roundup
The shirts are easily a no sew project. I choose to sew around the edges to reinforce. It’s a step I’m happy I did; both boys still wear their shirts weekly. The other shirts I made that didn’t get the sewn edge treatment, peeled up and were unwearable weeks into washing.

Supplies:
t-shirt
heat and bond
fabric
thread (optional)
cutting machine (optional)

Directions:
Select your favorite Toy Story fabric and back with Heat and Bond Ultra Hold (affiliate link) or another favorite stiff fusible web.

Place the iron-on backed fabric with the paper backing onto your preferred cutting mat, fabric side up.

Size your sheriff badge image and/or pocket graphic for each shirt.  Set your cutting machine to fabric or max speed and max pressure with blade depth at 5.  Make sure to designate a blade for fabric cuts only.

Carefully peel your fabric image from the mat.  Remove the paper backing and iron onto your fabric.  Hand stitch around the edges or sew for fusible webs that are machine friendly.

Quick shorts from Dana Made it|Eclectic Momsense #craft #Disney
For the shorts I used my favorite basic short tutorial from Dana Made it.  It’s a simple start by creating a template from a current pair of shorts.

Looking for more Disney craft ideas? We’ve got ’em! I’m sharing loads more ideas here from other bloggers who will be at the Disney Moms conference next week as well. Here are X more Disney ideas in honor of this wonderful event.

  • Finished a sewing project this week, and I couldn’t be more excited. #ad

I’ve been wanting to make a drawstring play mat for each of the boys for while now. I’ve seen the oversized ones advertised, but had something more manageable in mind for their individual LEGO projects. Not something to store ALL the LEGOs. No more midnight LEGO fire walk for me! This simple project can be completed in under 2 hours with the help of the Cricut Maker rotary blade. And how cute is this coordinating Cricut fabric?!?! Scroll through to see this toy storage in action, the. • All ready to cheer on my little soccer man this weekend. First game day of the spring season. I just love being able to make custom shirts with my @officialcricut for any occasion or everyday. Hop on over to see the design I made for the littlest soccer fans too! #cricutmade #ad #ironon #customshirt #craft #crafts #irononvinyl #soccer #soccerfan
  • Peeking through the cracks as my oldest practices for his talent show audition. I couldn’t be more proud! He’s been a performer since the day he could walk. He’s stubborn and it’s hard sometimes to get him to reason. Once he opens his mind and heart to the sage advice mom and dad have he was on board. He’d been working on Ukulele all school year with dad, they’ve practiced this song, and he knows it pretty well off book. But he really wanted to audition a Michael Jackson song and dance- in under 2 weeks. 😬 It’s not that we don’t think he couldn’t pull it off (next year), but we’re working on seeing things through to the end and making choices that are based in reason and passion. Any one else have a little one that is a jack of all trades? #talentshow #disney #moana #ukelele #lava #someonetolava #learning #practice
  • Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, are you ready? This year we went homemade box and store bought cards. In past years we’ve always done simple printable cards with a little bit of added fun. Usually small toys I picked up for pennies each. Need a last minute printable valentine? • Spent yesterday morning at the @thefarmarizona at a lovely brunch hosted by @kodiakcakes. 🥞 First visit to The Farm and I can’t wait to return to try one of their 3 on property restaurants.
Brunch was delicious, and we got to try out some of the Kodiak Cake products. Our family has only done the original flapjacks and can’t wait to test out the Chocolate Chip. Have you tried Kodiak Cakes before? They’re packed with whole grains and protein, and oh so yummy!

  • Soccer season starts up again on Monday. So I crafted up some fun shirts for the crew cheering from the sidelines. I love that with my @officialcricut Maker and and EasyPress I can quickly make up t-shirts for any occasion. It’s a blessing and a curse, because now the kids want shirts for everything! Interested in learning how to get started creating with Cricut iron-on materials and tools? Hop over to the blog. #cricut #ad #cricutmaker #cricutmade #ironon #irononvinyl #customshirts #easypress
  • This is too good not to share. He went to bed a 6 year old last night, woke up 100! If you were here this morning he would’ve waved his cane at you (which he made) and yelled, “Get off my lawn!”. 😂 #100thdayofschool #100daysofschool #100 #costume #school #kindergarten #toocute #hilarious #oldman #cutiepatootie #suspenders #bowtie #grandpa #100yearsold #makeup #stagemakeup
