Frosted Mason Jar Desk Organizer

We just did a huge move in creating an office space for me in our master bedroom.  It’s amazing to finally have a quiet and private area to work!  So, I spent the last few days shopping for my desk to make it an inspirational and calming space. When I made the move the first thing I knew I wanted was a place to keep all my pens and office supplies.  Goodbye plastic cups and wire baskets, hello custom mason jar organizer.

I love using pens of all different colors to keep my calendar organized. Using a different color for important family dates and another set of colors for work related due dates, meetings, and events. I carry this same color coded organization over into my accounting worksheets. While I do keep electronic versions of both I still enjoy writing and keeping a paper planner and journal.

I can be quite picky about my pens though, and protective.  Note: there is a known pen usuper in our house, my husband.  Pilot G2 Pens are one of my favorites as they have 4 different point sizes, write with a smooth gel, and have a comfortable grip.

With so many pens to organize I needed the perfect spot to keep them, and make it accessible on my desk.  This mason jar organizer set took only a few minutes to make, and I love how they turned out.

Supplies:
mason jars (3 sizes)
frosted glass spray paint
sea glass spray paint
vinyl letters

Directions:
Place your vinyl stickers on your jar. (Cut using an electronic cutter or pick up a set in the hardware section. the kind you use for mailboxes and house applications.)

Spell out cut on the large jar, write on the medium size jar, and clip on the smallest jar.

Flip each jar upside down on your spraying surface.  Spray a couple of wet coats of the frosted glass paint or sea glass paint.

Allow the jars to dry at least 15 minutes before peeling the stickers off.
