What show will have mom, dad, and the kids out of their seat dancing in the aisles? Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! Get the Sillies Out! was a show our entire family enjoyed loved. Even the littlest, 5 months, was glued to the stage.
We surprised our 3 1/2 year old with the show Sunday evening. He was so excited when he figured out what show we were seeing. Sometimes at these shows I watch the clock waiting for intermission. I couldn’t believe 45 min had past when the cast called intermission. We were having SO MUCH FUN!
Tips/Warnings:It is LOUD. If you have a little one or an auditory sensitive child you might want to bring something like ear plugs or noise reduction headphones to dampen the sound. I did see at least one child dancing in the aisles with noise reduction headphones.
You will have to stand and dance with your child. The whole show is interactive and they encourage the kids AND parents to get up. Upside, parents get to have fun too. Downside, giant people are standing everywhere blocking the view of 2, 3, and 4 year olds. None of the kiddos, or parents, seemed to mind. It was our excuse for the evening to be a kid again.
The whole gang was there with a surprise appearance from our favorite recurring artist. They played ALL our favorite songs. I loved that there was a screen on stage too. During many of the numbers they broadcasted what was happening on stage. With the show playing to large venues it welcomed the people further back to be a part of the show too.
I’d say this show is at the top of our LIVE show list for the whole family. Can’t wait to see what they bring next year.
