We recently got to experience the ocean right here in the middle of the desert. It’s HOT here, I mean triple digit hot. We are always looking for fun ways to stay out of the heat and the sun. Sea Life AZ was the perfect place to spend a couple hours. With lots of bright colors, places to crawl in, and a huge jungle gym at the end, we were thoroughly entertained.
Sea Life AZ just launched a new behind the scenes tour. Prices are just $3 for children and $4 for adults. You can add this on top of your admission when buying tickets. I was a little worried how my squiggly preschooler would do, but it was only a short 20 minute presentation with lots of fun facts, interaction with microscopes; and his favorite, a big screen TV in the main staging area with a video running of the scuba divers getting ready. If you are a science lover or your kid is this is a fun little activity to add on top of all the other exhibits.
We saw everything from starfish to octopus. Aiden’s favorite of course were the clown fish! There was a whole tank filled with them. He got to climb under and be surrounded by dozens of Nemo. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The girls got a very apprehensive boy to pet the scratchy sea stars. Did you know sea stars don’t have blood?
Have you visited a Sea Life Aquarium? With locations all over the world there’s sure to be one near you. Plus did you know they are from the same creators of LEGO land. They offer an annual pass for all these fun attractions.
