One of my favorite baby products is a pacifier leash. There’s nothing worse than being out with friends when the last paci drops. Or being in the car solo trying to fish for a dropped paci in the carseat. It solves so many dilemmas for such a simple gadget. While you can sometimes find these in store they do cost a few bucks each and you’re quite limited on the style. I’m picky also and like the ones with the metal suspender clips, not the plastic; those pull off easily.
These make a perfect addition to any baby shower gift. Customizable and only limited by your ribbon selection. Toss a couple paci’s on the end, who wouldn’t love these custom paci leashes.
What You Need:
1″ wide Ribbon
Suspender Clips
Velcro
Sewing Machine/Thread
Iron (optional)
Cut 9.25″ ribbon strands. Fold the unfinished edge over about 1/4″ and press. Fold an additional 1/4″ over the suspender clip and sew. Use a zigzag stitch or back stitch the entire length to create a strong bond.
Fold unfinished edge on opposite side twice. Each fold should be 1/4″. Press to hold in place. Place 3/4″ velcro strip down on end and sew around the edge. Place other half of velcro 1.5″ away and sew in place.
The finished product should be 8″ when the velcro is in place.
