Life is busy, right? As a mom I struggle to balance everything in my life. The biggest thing that has been taking a back burner is learning how to use my fancy Nikon DSLR, a gift I bought myself last November when blogging took off, and mastering WordPress before I make the big switch.
Along comes Lynda.com to the rescue. Funny enough right before this opportunity came about my MIL was telling me about a class she was trying out for free on a website for iPhone photography. Sure enough that site was Lynda.
Lynda.com offers a variety of class options, and they make it easy to browse by subject or software. I haven’t even begun to explore the more than 40,000 video tutorials in the library.
I found the website easy to navigate. Video tutorials were easy to find and add to my video queue. Once you begin a class Lynda.com tracks the components of the class you have watched and allows you to bookmark your favorite ones. I loved that each class is broken up into individual components. My class on Composition is 5hr, but each video is no more than 10-15 minutes. This makes participating in an online class feasible for a busy mom.
I was really drawn in when I discovered many of the videos are captioned AND there is a mobile app! All of these options make it easy to squeeze in a video during quiet time, lunch, or bedtime. |
Disclosure: I was provided with a FREE annual membership for myself and two gift memberships to giveaway to my readers. As always all opinions are my own.
