Starting Weight: 201.2
Pounds Lost: 5.4
Current Weight: 195.8

No weight loss this week to report.  I’m pretty sure there is one there, but I have a special visitor this week.  We got a new scale too.  Our old one has been abused by my son and from a move.  I’m sure we weren’t getting accurate measurements.  Isn’t it beautiful and shiny?  Can you guess the downside to a super reflective service.  No more cute feet shots each week, until I figure out how to fix that.

This week our workout focus has been on the Mamavation #2weekchallenge.  Thank you Mr. Bookieboo for putting this together for everyone.  JD and I have been busy squatting, pushing up, and doing burpees.  Haven’t had the pleasure of doing a burpee before checkout a video here.  As you can see it winds even the tiniest of woman, so you can imagine the huffing and puffing going on in our house Saturday night.

As each day goes on I feel more and more energized.  Surprisingly my muscles aren’t as sore as I anticipated.  I’ve been fairly diligent with stretching throughout the day so I expect that has helped.  Unfortunately, my dear hubby hates to stretch and he is definitely feeling it more than I am.  Perhaps this challenge will give him a new perspective on it.  With the exception of Sweat Monster and Paralyzed I have managed to complete the exercises in one burst.  My goal this week is to reduce my time and breaks between sets.

The one thing I have realized the most throughout the past few weeks is the importance of a good pair of shoes.  The last pair I received was about 2.5 years ago.  Might sound like a long time to have one pair of shoes, but they sat mostly untouched except for the occasional walk, hike, or outing.  We’ll see how long they last now that we are more active.  Currently I’m using them for my walks and hikes.  I have a bad habit of doing a lot of my indoor exercises barefoot.  I think it’s due to their stiffness as they are Brooks Running Shoes.  I would like to get a more flexible pair of shoes for general workouts.

What is your favorite workout shoe?
