Our home has been chemical free for several years now. We purged the household cleaning supplies, but struggled to “clean-up” our personal care routine. With that said every year we do a big household organization, the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd). I’m a list maker so I’m happy to share a bit of the type-A side with all the health and money saving tips for a chemical free home. Thanks to Walgreens, their new Ology line is making it easier to keep my healthy home and passing on the social responsibility for a healthy world.
Let’s take a look at how you can help contribute to a healthy child, healthy world for your family and future generations.
Laundry Get a boost from plant based power. Switch out products full of harmful chemicals for a healthier alternative that’s tough on stains, but gentle on your skin and clothes. Live well and make positive choices that impact your environment. Try washing your clothes on a cold cycle to reduce energy use.
Paper Products Toss the classic paper towel aside for something absorbent and made completely tree-free. Ology household paper products are made from quickly regenerated bamboo and easily renewable sugar husk. They are soft, strong and completely safe for your septic and biodegradable.
Household Cleaners Ditch the harsh solvents and ammonia for something free of indoor air pollutants that cuts through the grease and grime. Feel comfortable cleaning surfaces close to your kids with cleaners free of 10 harmful chemicals. Switch out chemical laden air purifiers for healthier alternatives like baking soda and essential oils.
Personal Care At the end of the day wash up chemical free. Rinse off free of Parabens or Sulfates. Feel fresh and clean with Ology shampoo, conditioner, soap, and more. Reduce water use while rinsing off toxic free by installing a low-flow shower head.
