About a week ago I had the opportunity to hang out with some friends, eat some good food (thanks Tryst Cafe), and learn all about the new Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40. I was so excited to try out this new to me restaurant; natural, hormone free, gluten-free, organic; this cafe had a great selection of foods I would be happy to feed my family.
Our group enjoyed the nice weather in AZ right now out on the patio. The Graco boxes took up about half the space, but we were happy to help take care of that problem on our way out. I couldn’t wait to get my seat home and put my little man in it. We thought we could survive this baby without an infant carrier, but soon realized we weren’t comfortable with a larger convertible carseat and awkward infant inserts. This seat cures a lot of issues with an infant seat.
– Fits children up to 2 years old, 4-40 pounds rear-facing (perfect as the AAP now recommends children to be rear facing until 2 years of age).
-Easy adjustable base with 8 position recline, provides the most leg room (common reason I hear from parents when switching them to forward facing).
-Simply Safe Adjust™Harness System, means no rethreading! (insert happy dance here) Shoulder restraints and headrest adjust with one hand.
-One step Click Connect for easy transition from car to stroller.
-Level indicator takes the guess work out of proper recline positioning. There’s even a guide on the side to tell you when it’s at the optimal position for your child.
In addition to the new safety and convenience features here’s just a few things our family is loving:
-Removable Infant Insert built for the seat. Works perfect for my now 8/9 pound little guy. Look how comfy he is. The top cushions work like little arm rests. Every time we look in he’s lounging with his arms up on it.
-I mentioned the adjustable headrest before, but this is a feature worth mentioning again. I’m so glad #GracoSafety has added one to their seats. My husband drives me batty the first few months checking on him to make sure his head is okay. I haven’t heard a peep from him since getting this seat. His head is very secure and doesn’t do the whole flop to the side or forward thing you get in most seats.
-Hidden kick plate for protecting your upholstery when your little one isn’t so little anymore.
-Storage case in base for LATCH system.
-Storage slot in base for manual. Love knowing where to find it for when it comes time to make adjustments or use without the base in another vehicle.
Disclosure: The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
