Spring has definitely arrived in Arizona. The wildflowers are in bloom, the cacti are starting to bear fruit, and sometimes we get a glimpse of warmer weather. This past week we headed out to Tohono Chul Park. It’s a beautiful desert garden on the northside of Tucson. We are blessed in Southern AZ to have not one, but 2 gardens.
Aiden loved all the fun structures in the gardens he could balance and explore. They had a special children’s garden, complete with a tile stream the kids could send a wooden “boat” down.
All the blooms offered gorgeous shots and lots of opportunities to capture butterflies and hummingbirds as the skirted from flower to flower.
I’m remembering all the fun structures they have for our next family portraits. Lots of fun water features and inlets.
This picture was taken just after Aiden ditched his hat in the murky water behind him. Grandma’s hat, and glasses, worked just as well though.
We even had an impromptu bell concert for the ladies under one of the ramadas. Boy was it loud, but they enjoyed watching the joy on his face as sounds ringed out. He even accompanied it with a rendition of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Anyone know what kind of Lizard this guy is? He was so beautiful, and a patient photography subject.
What does your family enjoy doing as the weather warms up?
