This is the face of a really awesome dad. A dad that couldn’t wait to slip into this costume to surprise his favorite 3 1/2 year old. I don’t know who was more excited for it to arrive. We ripped the package from BuyCostumes.com right open. My oldest (a.k.a. my husband) was almost jumping up and down.  I could barely get him to stop dancing to take this pic.

We originally planned to hold onto our DJ Lance Rock costume for Halloween, but as you will see we are having too much fun to wait. The costume runs a bit larger than we anticipated. But… this has worked out nicely as everyone in the house can join in on the fun.  Why wait for Halloween when everyday is a great day for dress up.

Here’s the women in the house all dressed up.  Aiden was so excited for an impromptu show, I’ll spare you the videos. Crazy grandma truly lived up to her self-proclaimed title.  And mom well let’s just say I had a little too much fun singing some Yo Gabba songs for my boys.

Buy Costumes is an online costume retailer with a variety of costume options for the whole family.  From off the rack costumes for under $20 to studio quality costumes for $100 plus.  I found the pricing very comparable and often cheaper than in store retailers around Halloween.  I love that I can find a costume anytime of the year, making everyday a time for dress up.

We certainly know costumes in this house.  My son has around 15 of them rotating in his closet.  Our DJ Lance costume was made of the same material as many of his, but came with accessories too at a price point of under $30.  My only complaint at first was the pants were HUGE.  We used the sizing chart on the website to select, a size medium.  DJ’s pants are tight-fitting and on my husband these aren’t quite a replica of the real character.  The top is not a pullover.  It velcro completely down the back which at times comes unattached.  These features, however, have lent themselves to the entire family getting to try on the costume.

Grandma and grandpa are still on the list to try it out and I might have heard Aiden mumble something about Uncle B needing to wear it too.  🙂

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
