It was a special week. The gang was here from Vegas and Aiden was so excited to see his Uncle Deacon and Pops. Even if he did get a little confused on who was who. Uncle Deacon got used to being called Uncle Billy and Pops got used to being called Uncle Gary. We all had a good laugh on the last one.
Despite the confusion (JD’s family on both sides is huge) he couldn’t wait to try out his new golf clubs. He was telling everyone he saw about them. “Aunt” Kristy got an earful about the clubs from his grandpa, his NEW grandpa. And promptly after lunch he marched everyone outside to try them out.
He was so proud and excited to try them out with his Pops. These were special clubs as they were passed from JD’s papa, to his lil brother, and now onto Aiden. Look at the joy in those eyes. He patiently waited and listened as pops explained what to do. And if you know my little man he does not do patient. “Let me do it myself” is often heard by his swim teacher and mommy and dad.
So here’s my question on a not so Wordless Wednesday. How do you stay in touch with grandparents, aunts, and uncles when they live far away? Pops is not a computer fan, but both siblings now have Macs so I see regular Factime dates in our horizon. We want our little man to know pop for Pops and shine that adorable grin for him more than just a couple times a year.
