Teacher Appreciation Quote Chalkboard

Teacher Appreciation Day is coming up in just a couple days.  When I was a teacher I always enjoyed the handmade and heartfelt gifts from my students.  For Christmas this year I crafted up this teacher appreciation quote chalkboard.  It sums up the amazing job and gift teachers have in shaping young minds.  We have been blessed with an amazing teacher for our son.  She came out of retirement for just one more year of teaching.  And believe me we are trying to convince her to stay on 3 more so our youngest can have her too.  🙂

This is quite a simple craft, but if you are running low on time grab the printable below and add it to a fun frame or clip right onto a clipboard.

Supplies:
clipboard
chalkboard paint
white paint
paint brush
painters tape
stencil
washi tape

Instructions:
Mark off the middle of the clipboard with painters tape.  Create a box in the center to paint with chalkboard paint.

Paint the area according to your chalkboard paint directions.  Most have you do 2 coats in opposite directions.

Once it’s dry free hand the quote onto the board with the white paint or use a Cricut to cutout a stencil with vinyl.

While the paint dries add Washi tape to the clip for added decoration.

Running low on time print out this 8″ x 10″ printable and clip it right onto the clipboard.
