When I started blogging consistently a few months ago I saw a badge on Inspired Rd‘s blog. I had been brought to her blog by my good friend Becca over at Our Crazy Boys. I didn’t think much of it until I started getting more active with other Blogging social networks. It grabbed my attention when I saw other bloggers I followed using the Mamavation hashtag. I quickly became interested in the story and philosophy behind Mamavation. I was inspired by Leah’s story and felt if she could do it, why not.
Fast forward a couple months and I’m on my 8th week as a Mamvation Sista. I’ve had my highs and lows, but in the end my support system has been there. I have my sisterhood online and my husband at home. Through these 2 avenues I’ve been able to accomplish my 6 pound+ weight loss. It’s been difficult as I’ve gone back to work, but I’ve managed to find ways to Tweet and stay active in the community. I look forward to every Monday night for Mamavation TV. It’s mommy-time!
Moms selected for the weight loss campaign take part in a boot camp experience from the comfort of their home. They are given all the tools needed to succeed. Fitness equipment, professionals, and a support group are all put in place to help the Mamavation moms. As they travel their journey to a healthier life the world is watching. For 7 weeks the ladies (couples) share their roller coaster ride. The end goal; a healthier lifestyle.
Interested in becoming a Mamavation couple yourself? Click here to find out more about the campaign and how you can apply to become one of 2 moms (couples) selected to be a part of the final show. Not quite ready to have your weight loss journey broadcasted as a reality TV drama? You can still be a part of the Sistahood by pledging. Don’t worry it’s a lot easier then become a sorority sister.
In the meantime looking for some simple entertainment. Check out JD’s and my application video for the Mamavation campaign.
