It’s hard to believe my little guy is already old enough to be enrolled in extracurricular activities. We started the summer out with swim lessons and soon added in Karate. Mondays were back to back lessons from 4:30-6:30 with a short break for dinner. Our family needed an option that was quick, healthy, filling, and something everyone would enjoy. Thanks to Moms Meet and Jamba Juice we were able to try out the perfect alternative to our homemade smoothies and take along meals.
On one of our marathon nights we popped into Jamba Juice on the way to swim lessons. I knew a smoothie wasn’t going to be enough to fill me for dinner (it’s a mental thing) so I was happy to see the food options were improved and varied. They have an all NEW kid’s meal too. Tasty food items are paired perfectly with whole fruit and fruit and veggie smoothies. We each got a smoothie and shared two of the new flatbreads (basically a pizza). I was pleasantly surprised how delicious they were. The last time we tried a pretzel and weren’t impressed. These flatbreads are filled with whole grains and quite tasty, lots of flavor.
The new fruit and veggie smoothies are packed with two servings of fruit and one serving of veggies, and no added sugar. We tried:
- The Tropical Harvest Smoothie is made with a fusion of mangos, peaches, and passion mango juice blended with juices from butternut squash, sweet potato, and carrot.
- The Jamba KidsTM Berry Beet it! Smoothie is made with a delicious blend of strawberries, mangos, bananas, and mixed berry juice with carrots, beets, broccoli, spinach, kale, and lettuce.
The hubby and Aiden gave it two thumbs up. They finished theirs, but I opted for my old stand by, Razzmatazz. I felt the veggie juice was very distinct; adding a bitter flavor to the smoothies. With the new food option and veggie smoothies (my son loved!) we will definitely be adding Jamba Juice into the rotation. It’s on the way to swim lessons so an easy dinner option the whole family agrees on.
