The holiday season is quickly approaching. It’s hard to believe we are in the final week as a Mamavation couple, but also Thanksgiving is this Thursday. JD just pointed out to me he only has 1.5 weeks left of classes this semester. With all these big changes and events happening in the coming weeks I find it more important now than ever to meal plan. Knowing what is coming each week has been essential to my weight loss. I’ve tested my next strategy this past weekend. Eating our meal before we go to a party will assist with mindless snacking and overeating. While the party was later in the evening, dinner was still served. We opted to stick to our meal plan and eat before going over. We eliminated snacking at the party, despite a few veggies. Overall, my big concern is sweets. This year we will cook only our favorites. We often spend a whole day baking and inevitably once family, neighbors, and friends drop off their goodies we are on sugar overload. I’m saving my baking energy this year for a few family and neighbors and we’re going to eat what is gifted to us.
