About Kelly Wels
She’s a mom, cloth diaper expert, and an advocate for moms and
dads. Kelly started out founding two well-known cloth diaper shops,
Diapers.com and KellysCloset.com, both still going strong. 2 years
ago she founded KellyWels.com, which has quickly become her
passion. Her goal is to spread education and knowledge to parents
while advocating for diaper change.
When I was approached to do a review of her book it didn’t take me but a second to make a decision. I was right in line to preorder this book back in the fall before it released. I only wish a resource was available like this 2+ years ago when I was making the big diapering decision. Instead we waited until my son was 18 months and I did tons of hours of internet research just to convince my hubby it was time to make the change.
This book is great for moms, dads, caregivers, grandparents, anyone with a need to to know about cloth, or a question about cloth. It’s a comprehensive look at just what you need to get started in diapering. Kelly really thought of everything while writing this book. Why cloth diaper? What do you need to get started? What are AIO, AI2, pockets, inserts, flats?
It’s just what a visual learner needs with plenty of pictures and diagrams, beautiful bright pictures of cute fluffy bums. She has sections in there for dads, daycare, diapering multiples, laundering. The list goes on. There’s even a section for troubleshooting rashes, nighttime wetness, and leaks.
The wonderful thing is it’s a resource book. No need to sit and read cover to cover, although I devoured it this way. Read the whole thing or just pick out a few sections as you need. I would recommend for all moms, dads, caregivers, and family to read the Intro and Why Cloth Diaper sections. These first 2 sections are filled with a wealth of information.
This book will definitely be a staple for all baby showers. Wouldn’t you love to get this book with a cute little stash of brightly colored cloth?
I was provided with an online copy of this book to do the review. All opinions are my own. Of course I already owned the book, so I was happy to rave. 🙂
