As a mom of boys finding cute boys clothes that fit my budget has always been a struggle. I found that classic styles with a fun accessory can take casual clothes and easily dress them up. Button-ups are our go to for my little fashionistas when they want to look a little “fancy”; their words not mine.

My little man just got a wardrobe update and I couldn’t be more in love with the quality and value.  We’ve been shopping at Walmart for a long time for our basics like t-shirts and pajamas.  They offer a great selection of brands, saving families money and time.  Who doesn’t love one stop shopping?  While I’m grabbing diapers and groceries I can grab a few classic wardrobe essentials as well.

You can stay happy and healthy with a great selection of Healthtex clothes at Walmart in-store and online.  I picked up 2 shirts and some fabric to create an easy no-sew tie.

Supplies:
2 strips of satin (22″ long)
1 strip of coordinating fabric (1.5″ wide)
fusible webbing strips
velcro

Directions:
Cut out two layers of fabric using the following pattern.  You may adjust and add length as needed for the age of the child.

Put the right sides together and place thin fusible webbing right at the edge of the fabric, leaving a 2″ gap, iron.

Flip the fabric right side out and iron the edges and corners so they are nice and sharp. Fold in the gap and add more fusible webbing to close the gap.

Measure your child’s neck and add 2″.  Cut an additional piece of fabric 1.5″ wide by this number long for the neck strap.  Place a strip of fusible webbing along the middle of the piece of neck fabric.  Fold over, iron.  Do this a second time creating a finished neck strap.  Add sticky or iron-on velcro to both sides of the strap.

Using the diagram below tie the no-sew tie around the middle of the neck strap.

With an easy project like this no-sew tie and a great selection of styles for every occasion at Walmart it’s easy to do more for less.  What are your favorite style tips for toddlers and preschoolers?
