Book Page Wreath

Baby shower season is almost over for me and it’s about time I got to sharing some of the awesome crafts I was able to make.  My best friend (26 years!) is expecting this January and is doing the most adorable vintage toy and game nursery.  Baby will be a surprise so what a great gender neutral theme.  For her baby shower she wanted a book theme.  I was tasked with a couple crafts including this book page wreath.  I can’t wait to make one for my front door now, it turned out great!

Making the wreath couldn’t get much simpler.  If you remember doing tissue paper crafts in elementary school it’s the same process.  Just a few materials and a little bit of time to prep the pages and glue them to the wreath form.

Materials:
poster board
old book
hot glue
ribbon

Directions:

1. Start by removing your pages from the book.  Standard rectangular pages can be ripped in half to make squares.  
2. Find 2 large round bowls or buckets to trace your wreath onto poster board.  Cut out your wreath form.
3. Take a pencil and wrap one book page square around  the eraser.  Place a drop of hot glue on the end.  Push your pencil onto the poster board and remove. 
4. Continue with step 3 until your wreath is covered.  I used a pattern of 3/row.  
5. Glue a length of ribbon to the back of your wreath.
