Sometimes late at night, like tonight, I feel like a little something sweet. I give myself permission to indulge these cravings with some healthier alternatives. Scouring the internet those mug cakes look delicious but often have egg and fats like oil or butter. I found a recipe I liked and substituted a few ingredients for healthy alternatives.
Ingredients
4 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp + 1 tsp. Cocoa powder
pinch of salt
4 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. apple sauce
1 tsp. chocolate chips
Mix together dry ingredients.
Add milk and apple sauce to dry ingredients. Mix.
Add chocolate chips and stir.
Microwave on high for 1 min. 50 seconds, give or take 5-10 secs. depending on your microwave.
Top with a low calorie whip cream.
